This is a baking book, with a difference - it has all your favourite recipes but they have a lot less sugar. With all the concern about the need to reduce sugar in our diet, here is a book that lets you bake your cake and eat it too!
The authors, the Isherwood Sisters, have carefully done all the hard work to determine how much sugar can be removed from the recipes without compromising the final result. They have not replaced the sugar with alternatives (which are just sugar in disguise) or added artificial sweeteners (which don’t work very well), instead they have removed the excess sugar (in many cases more than 50%) and adjusted other ingredients. The revised recipes still work really well and with the overpowering sweetness removed, taste delicious.
The recipes are easy-to-make and use ingredients that are readily available at your local supermarket.
